Legal Redress
Mission
The Legal Redress Committee is responsible for: (1) investigating all reported incidents submitted to the Branch; (2) providing assistance to Fort Waybe-Allen County residents seeking relief for discriminatory acts; (3) supervising all litigation in which the Branch has involvement: and (4) keeping the national office and the branch informed on the progress of every case in which the Branch is a litigant.
The Committee does not offer legal advice or legal representation. The Committee serves as a liaison between individuals needing help and organizations offering quality legal services in the Indianapolis community. If you are in need of immediate legal assistance, please contact a local attorney.

The Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (VLP) is a 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2002 by a group of local attorneys and judges committed to providing a program that would offer free legal help for low-income individuals and families. Intake paralegals field inquires; screen for income qualification and case type; process and open files; and place qualified cases with volunteer attorneys willing to help the clients without charge.
